SPINDO Recruitment Fraud
PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia, Tbk urges the public to be careful of fraud in the guise of job vacancies in the name of PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia, Tbk as attached below.
The mode is that the offender informs about a vacancy by including an e-mail address as the delivery address. However, the email address listed does not use the SPINDO domain (example: [email protected]). Usually the perpetrators use email addresses with unpaid providers such as gmail, yahoo, etc. Furthermore, based on the emails that have been entered, the offender will contact the prospective applicant who informs him that the applicant must take the test. The e-mail also stated that prospective applicants must make a flight / hotel ticket to a fictitious travel agency. This is where the fraudsters make a profit, namely from the money sent by prospective applicants to book airplane / hotel tickets.
In each recruitment process, SPINDO has never implemented a refund system or reimbursement of transportation or accommodation costs related to the selection of prospective employees. Therefore, the public needs to be careful of recruitment information in the name of SPINDO.
There are several things that must be considered by job applicants including:
1. SPINDO does not collaborate with any party, including travel agents for the recruitment program
2. SPINDO does not collect any fees in the recruitment process
3. The public is expected to check through the SPINDO website (www.spindo.com)
