Spindo Holds First Customer Gathering in Bukittinggi, Introducing Quality GI Pipe Products

PT Steel Pipe Industry of Indonesia (Spindo) held its first customer gathering in the West Sumatra region, Thursday (24/8/2023). The event which took place at Hotel Santika Bukittinggi was attended by 60 participants consisting of iron shop owners, welding workshops, and customers from related industries. The purpose of the customer gathering is to establish friendship between Spindo and customers in the Bukittinggi area and its surroundings, as well as introduce Spindo's flagship product, namely galvanized iron (GI) pipes.

GI pipe is an electric resistance welded steel pipe with a zinc coating on its surface. This coating makes GI pipes resistant to corrosion. Sales Department of Spindo Tria said, GI Spindo pipes have the best quality in their class. Its use is easy and more durable. "GI Spindo pipes are often used in making fences, ceilings, canopies, shelves, household stairs, tables and chairs, poultry cages, tent frames, and stages, and other needs," Tria said in a release received Kompas.com, Friday (8/25/2023). In the event, the Marketing Department of Spindo Hafidan Nurhasby also gave a presentation on the technical specifications of Spindo's GI pipe. He explained that the GI Spindo pipe is coated with zinc coated SNI 07-2053 (Z12) with a thickness of 120 gr/m2 or 16.8 microns. "In addition, the dimensions, thickness, lining and elbows of the pipe correspond to the marking. GI Spindo pipes are also equipped with zinc spray in the welding area to increase corrosion resistance. In the production process, this pipe goes through various tests, such as flattening tests, flaring tests, and bending tests," he explained.

To prove the superiority of GI Spindo pipes, Hafidan also conducted a comparison demonstration with similar products from other brands. The results show that Spindo GI pipes have the thickness according to the label, while other products have a thickness difference of up to 19 percent. In addition, GI Spindo pipes are also stronger and more resilient when compared to other products. This pipe is able to withstand loads up to 53 percent greater than other products of similar dimensions. Customer gathering participants looked enthusiastic and curious about Spindo products.

Many questions are asked by them to ensure that the information submitted is in accordance with the condition of the product. Participants also want to know how to get Spindo products that have marking. Answering this, the owner of Adinda Karya Iron Shop and Spindo's partner, Ibrahim, said that Spindo products can be obtained through his iron shop. "The goods we sell are directly from the Spindo factory, so the quality is guaranteed," Ibrahim said.
