SPINDO GI Hollow and GI Pipes Support the Structure of ARCH:ID 2026 Areas
ARCH:ID 2026 The 6th Indonesia Architecture Exhibition & Conference returned as an important meeting platform for the architecture, design, construction, and building support industries in Indonesia. Organized by PT Citra Inovasi Strategy Exhibition, the exhibition was held from Thursday to Sunday, April 23-26, 2026, at ICE BSD Tangerang.
Carrying the theme “Skema Sintesa”, ARCH:ID 2026 became a platform where ideas, materials, technologies, and architectural practices came together. In this exhibition,
PT STEEL PIPE INDUSTRY OF INDONESIA Tbk (SPINDO) was present through the use of SPINDO GI Hollow and SPINDO GI Round Pipes in several exhibition areas.
This presence demonstrated how
SPINDO steel pipe products can support design requirements, structural needs, spatial functions, and visitor experience in a large-scale architecture exhibition.
Steel Pipe Materials as Part of Architecture
In a exhibition installation, a structure is not only required to be strong. It also needs to be neat, efficient, easy to fabricate, and able to follow the design concept developed by architects and curators. Therefore, material selection becomes an important part of translating design ideas into functional spaces.
SPINDO products were used in several main areas, including Tetenger Riung, Tetenger Siar, Tetenger Tutur, Angkringan Selatan Area, as well as the parking area and special tent for the Land Rover Community. In this areas,
SPINDO products not only served as structural support materials, but also became part of the spatial elements that helped shape visitor orientation, interaction, and activities throughout the exhibition.
The use of steel pipes in the context of ARCH:ID 2026 also
highlighted the flexibility of SPINDO product applications. Products that have long been recognized for construction, industrial, and infrastructure needs can also be applied to architectural installations, temporary structures, public areas, and supporting facilities for community activities.
The Advantages of SPINDO GI Hollow for Exhibition Structures
SPINDO GI Hollow has characteristics that are highly relevant for exhibition structure requirements. Its square profile supports a neat, precise frame appearance that can be easily adjusted to the design. In the context of exhibition installations, this advantage is important because structures must be built efficiently, remain stable, and maintain a visual appearance that aligns with the spatial concept.
Technically,
SPINDO GI Hollow
is manufactured using STKR 400 steel material and equipped with a Z-12 galvanized coating, providing a combination of structural strength and corrosion protection.
STKR 400 steel has a minimum tensile strength of 400 MPa, making it suitable for light to medium construction needs.
Another advantage of SPINDO GI Hollow is its precise dimensions, lightweight yet strong character, and ability to support a relatively fast installation process.
These qualities make it suitable for various applications, such as canopy, farmers, partitions, fences, modular structures, and exhibition structure needs.
SPINDO GI Round Pipe for Dynamic Forms
Round pipes have a different visual character compared to hollow sections. While hollow sections create a firm, modular, and precise impression, round pipes offer a more dynamic and flexible appearance.
The use of
SPINDO GI Round Pipes in this area shows that
SPINDO products can adapt to various design requirements. They are not only suitable for modular structures, but also for installation that require more open, lightweight, and communicative forms.
SPINDO in the Tetenger Installations at ARCH:ID 2026
In several Tetenger installations, SPINDO products were used as structural support materials. This shows how steel pipes can become part of architectural installations that are not only functional, but also carry visual and social value.
- Tetenger Tutur
Used
SPINDO GI Round Pipes OD ¾” and 1-½” with a thickness of 1.7 mm. Tetenger Tutur was designed to support discussions, presentations, and collaborative activities.
The use of SPINDO GI Round Pipes supported the installations open, dynamic, and communicative character.
- Tetenger Riung
Used
SPINDO GI Hollow 40 x 40 x 1.7 mm as a structural support material. Tetenger Riung carried the principle of circularity through the ideas of rethink, refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, and recycle. In addition to serving as a visual landmark, this installation also accommodate informal activities, such as family resting area, a small children’s play area, a nursery room, and a compact workplace setting. With the precise and modular character of GI Hollow,
SPINDO supported the need for a neat, stable structure that could be easily adjusted to the design concept.

- Tetenger Siar
Used
SPINDO GI Hollow 40 x 40 x 1.7 mm. This area functioned as a marker and architectural threshold connecting the outer foyer with the main exhibition area. As a transition area, Tetenger Siar helped guide visitors, frame views into the exhibition space, and create curiosity before entering the main area.
The use of SPINDO GI Hollow in this area supported the creation of a firm, orderly structure that aligned with the visual requirements of the space.
Through these various applications in the Tetenger installations, SPINDO products were present not merely as supporting materials, but also as part of the architectural experience.
SPINDO in Interaction, Culinary, and Community Areas
In addition to the Tetenger installations, SPINDO products were also used in areas that supported visitors social activities.
- Angkringan Selatan Area
Used
SPINDO GI Hollow 40 x 40 x 1.7 mm as a structural support material. More than just a dining area, Angkringan Selatan was designed as a social space that encouraged meetings, casual conversations, and interaction among visitors.
This area required a structure that was efficient, strong, and easy to arrange
according to visitor circulation. For this need,
SPINDO GI Hollow supported the area through its strong, precise, and easy-to-apply material characteristics.
- Tetenger Luar/Parking Area and Special Tent for the Land Rover Community
Used
SPINDO GI Hollow 40 x 40 x 1.7 mm. This application showed that
SPINDO products are not only relevant for indoor or semi-indoor areas, but also for outdoor structural needs.
For outdoor areas, materials need to have good resistance to environmental conditions.
With the galvanized coating on GI material, SPINDO GI Hollow can help support structural needs that are more resistant to corrosion risk, especially in areas that may be exposed to humidity or outdoor weather conditions.

Through its use in Angkringan Selatan and the Land Rover Community area, SPINDO demonstrated the flexibility of its products in supporting various spatial needs, from culinary zones, gathering areas, and community spaces to outdoor structures that require reliable materials.
Conclusion
ARCH:ID 2026 became a momentum for SPINDO to demonstrate the flexibility and reliability of its steel pipe products in architectural applications. Through the used of SPINDO GI Hollow 40 x 40 x 1.7 mm, SPINDO supported several important areas of the exhibition, form Tetenger applications and the Angkringan area to the parking area and special tent for the Land Rover Community.
The presence of SPINDO products at ARCH:ID 2026
showed that steel pipe materials can play a role beyond construction elements.
With their strength, precision, durability, and application flexibility,
SPINDO became part of shaping architectural spaces that support function, design, and visitor experience.
Through this involvement,
SPINDO reaffirmed its position as a national steel pipe manufacturer capable of providing material solutions for various modern construction needs, from buildings, infrastructure, industry, and public spaces to architectural installations.
